This show is really funny, refreshing and very cute family. I'm glad I gave it a chance, this family keeps me laughing. 10/10 show!

I love this show. Being a Black man and joining the US Marine Corps I saw what other races thought was being "Black". Weather it was negative or positive prejudice. I actually had 2 pilots talk to me about how I have "waves" in my hair. It was hilarious to see 2 white women try to figure out "Waves". The show is about what is being "Black". Some of us, meaning African- American, feel one way about things and some of us feel a different way but it doesn't mean either is more or less "Black". Some of you obviously don't get the concept addressing people of African descent being "Black" no matter if you play field hockey or basketball. What does it really mean to do something "Black"? That what the show makes fun of. Stereotypes are Tyler Perry corny shows.

This show is hilarious. The lead has a great comic presence. Many people are commenting here after only watching the pilot. The pilot for this show was quite unfortunate and almost certainly cost them many viewers. It was marginally funny and spiked the offensive meter many times. But really the pilot is a different show. Watch the rest of the series, it's quite enjoyable and fairly mainstream situation comedy.

Hate the title, LOVE the show. I'm glad I gave it a chance. Jack & Diane are adorable. Rainbow is a good offset for Andre; their different experiences growing up demonstrate the diversity that exists within our culture. Black-ish a wonderful, humorous medium that addresses issues without getting on a soapbox <3 10/10

How this could be okay with any network is beyond me. Its borderline offensive, barely skirting the line between potentially funny and downright insulting. I've had the privilege of being exposed to all levels of society, all races and several religions throughout my life. It taught me respect and understanding for everybody in all walks of life. This show lacks respect. It had such potential to just be different without playing the cards it does.

This show is incredibly funny. I only hope abc doesn't pull the plug to early on it because they have a hit. Please enjoy everyone, I LOVE It

I'm not sure how to take this show. It's funny some of the time but still not settling into it. I'm genuinely not even interested in watching more episodes.

This show depicts over-the-top hubris. It satirizes suburban values and polarized positions on all kinds of hot-button issues in the US. The suave & amusing Wanda Sykes could use more air time, but it's fast and I find it funny.

Hahahaha this show is funny and can be touching at times. Most of the time it's just funny stuff but it does have moments were it conveys a good message.

Looked at the trailer on YouTube and the comments are HARSH, especially from Black commenters. / / / Watched the pilot and those who are denouncing this as 'coonery' are on the money. This is a Black Clown show. Anthony Anderson does his usual boisterous Black guy in a White world schtick. I like the kids, but they're lost in this circus of Black-isms. Tracee Ellis Ross seems to gravitate to obvious broad comedies, when I suspect there is a fine actress in her who could bring comedic nuance. / / / I hated it, which means it should be a giant hit.

I like this show alot... It gives me a Bernie Mac show/ Modern Family vibe. I think it can really go somewhere if it stays fresh.

Culture is rooted within US, but what happens to our children who become rooted in the culture AROUND them ? i DISAGREE with the negative comments of this show because it is a TRUE portrayal of today's society; specifically second generation immigrants who have children in a country different than that their parents were born in. Their parents are rooted deep within their motherlands culture and find pride and peace in carrying on tradition and teaching their way of life. BUT their children have zero experience outside the new country they life in, which has changed durastically, and your still trying to keep up/figure it out on your own terms. It becomes a struggle to define yourself somewhere on the scale of who your parents were and who your children will become. THIS SHOW IS NOT AT ALL RACIST!!!!!! it is simply the journey of multiple generations of a family finding balance. AND ITS HELLA FUNNY TOO:)

i like this show, but the whole black lives matter thing is getting old. why not just lives matter. every time i watch this show, i feel like im watching a school movie during black history month. don't try telling me this isn't a racist show, every white actor in the show is depicted as a dumb racist. and all of the black actors except for one is depicted as a smart wealthy person. not to mention the writers are all black, the creator and the film co. is Wilmore Films, which is also black owned. again, im not racist and i like the show, but cmon enough with the whole racism thing.

I was skeptical at first even though Dion Cole, one of my favorite comedians, is in this. I'm not big on sitcoms, but after watching the pilot I was hooked & binge watched the first season. Now on the 2nd Season and it has gotten even better. Such a great cast & I love seeing how the kids have grown up literally before our eyes. They really hold their own on the show. I also think the writing is top notch and each episode never fails to get a few belly laughs out of me. Sure it has it's over the top corny moments but the dramatic parts and humor more than make up for it.

I agree with Black_Mama 100%. Anyone who doesn't get what coonery is can find out via the internet. Mocking African heritage and making strong Willie Lynch Manifesto statements like : "We're Black, not African. They don't even like us", that go unanswered and are slipped into a comedy marketed as the new Cosby show disrespects us all.Worse it tells us that we define ourselves according to the standards of others rather than ourselves. Having Black writers or producers means nothing when we have to filter the product to the parameters of how others see us for entertainment.Look up the word programming, then ask yourself why they call it radio and television programming.
