I happened upon this series by accident and watched all of Season 1 uninterrupted. I was captivated and entrenched in the story line,characters and suspense. I am quite accustomed to discovering and making definitive conclusions on the ending, but this kept me perplexed and second guessing myself throughout. Dramatic and unexpected finale's. All I can say it was more of the same in Seasons 2 and 3. Brilliant writing and casting. This is some of the finest television drama I have watched in either the U.S. or U.K. I wait anxiously for Season 4.

Astonishing how each season builds upon the former. Season 3 is turning out to be a first-rate potboiler. Astonishingly sharp writing, acting and direction.

Once again British TV scores big. If it wasn't for British TV and HBO we'd be watching nothing but Reality TV and infomercials in North America.I can remember when US TV ruled the world in series TV. It's sad watching the dumbing down of great Countries by corporate greed.I am anxiously awaiting the next episode

How have I not watched this show before? Those in the States or wherever have an excuse but I live in the UK and had no idea it was so good.

Season 4 opinion -loved the addition of Thandie Newton, but AC-12 got on my nerves this time. I know Thandie done wrong, but they were so dang aggressive and smug, i found myself rooting for her. I wish they'd dial it back. As usual, season 3 was as good as the rest. Since this show doesn't hide it's criminal puppet master, I find myself getting really angry at that character every episode. Frustrating, but fun.

Great Television...The content respects the viewers, Not every detail has to be so obviously revealed to the audience.... ; - }

I just finished watching the full Season 1 - 5 epis and was so excited to see a season 2 has been approved and will be coming soon. I can't wait. I honestyl thought the show had to be based on a true story, the acting and directing was simply that great, and the story line was full of reality, things that happen day to day in the police force, from corruption to stellar integrity, it is all there and more. bravo BBC; I love watching your shows and am excited to see more. Praises to 1Channel as I watch all of my TV [sans news] on this site, it is great to be able to do that since American TV has become so classless with all of the stupid reality shows and unbearably stupid cartoon comics. Bless you uploaders!!!! keep up the fab work - please.

I agree with orrty the dumbing down of American tv is dominating regular programming. I personally use this site for 75% of my entertainment and the rest is some cable also BBC iplayer. The first episode was really good and hope the integrity of the writing keeps the same or better, most British shows do.

Fantastic from start to finish. Makes all that CSI nonsense look like what it is - dumbed down brain candy. Excellent.

A damn good series, that I wish US television would consider learning from.I couldn't take my eyes off this one! From the beginning, I was hooked into the drama, and it never slowed down.

This is one of the better series for this year. I think one of the things that ruins a series is stretching it into to many weeks. Bravo for British TV. American and Canadian producers should learn from this.

Season 4 has kicked off with the usual AC-12 staff investigating Thandie Newton (nipping over the pond from Westworld and managing to keep her clothes on) as she chooses to ignore some forensic evidence in a case against a possible serial killer. All this has come about because the present forensic copper in the guise of Jason Watkins (recently seen in Taboo) has come up with some evidence that may point in the other direction. Which begs the question - is he really going to make such a big mess and manage to clean it up? Great start to to one of the best police/crime dramas in recent years. Oi! get watching you lot.

Fantastic production by the BBC. On the edge of my seat throughout. Great show!

Perhaps I'm just too American to expect much more than risk assessment paperwork being filled out to show boring realism.

This series is one of the best produced by the bbc. Don't miss it and remind yourself that I told you that you would find time to watch it all again. Simply fine story telling with great acting! Too few episodes! EDIT-EDIT... My comment stands for season 1, season 2, eh not so much and Season 3, the jury is still out but so far, it is good as is Season 4. This series is modern BBC at it's best.
