What is the viewing order of Fate-related works? ______________________________________________________________________________ If you want to stick to watching anime and skip the visual novel, the best option is: -Watch Ufotable's version of Unlimited Blade Works (2014). Then, once Ufotable's version of Heaven's Feel (2015) comes out, watch that. Finally, watch the Fate/Zero (2011) anime. ____________________________________________________________________________ The next-best option is: -Watch the Fate/Zero anime. Then, watch Ufotable's version of Unlimited Blade Works. When Ufotable's version of Heaven's Feel comes out, watch that, too. ........................................................................................................................................................... There are pros and cons to watching Fate/Zero first vs. watching Fate/stay night first. Each one spoils material for the other. On the whole, though, I feel that watching F/sn first is the correct choice, since this is the ''production order'' of the series - the F/sn visual novel followed by the F/Z light novels. **I do not advise watching the DEEN Fate/Stay Night anime (the 2006 TV series) it is poorly produced, both in terms of objective quality (art, animation, etc.) and in terms of faithful adaptation of the original work. I also do not advise watching the UBW (2010) movie at all - Ufotable's version of Unlimited Blade Works is strictly better in every way that I can think of (animation, pacing, etc.).

I think this prequel series is so much better than fate stay night. The storyline is far more interesting, adult and engaging and the multitude of characters are more defined and better explored, in fate zero, than in fate stay night. I would recomend people, new to this anime series, watch this before fate stay night as fate zero is set ten years before and features events mentioned in fate stay night. Avoid the spoilers and watch the full season before watching fate stay night.

Why does Alexander call himself Iskander here? That is a name given to him by the Persians. That is not how he should identify himself.
