Guys, This is all messed up. There are episodes from the 1972 series here, but there are also (Mostly) Episodes from "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues" - The Sequel Series from the Late 80's and Early 90's - this Shouldnt be here, as they are two distinct series. - like "Star Trek: The Original Series" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation"

I was 9 years old when this show first aired in 1972, this is not the original series. I always watched it, I know the plot of this series took place in the 1870's, not in modern times.

Kung fu was a very good show, and I never understood why it was canceled so soon. I do think Bruce Lee would have been good in this role, but, I also think that David Carradine made the show what it was.

Seen some of the old videos.I can see why this T.V. show should have been a role that Bruce Lee should have got but that's Hollywood for you.

bruce lee would have been good but he could NEVER play the part as well as david carradine he suits playing the part. this show was befor my time but it was such a gr8 show im glad my grandad told me about all these old show thay are so good. the movie and tv producers that are making the new show really need to watch these so thay can atuly make a good show/movie for less than 100 million :)

At the time, bruce lee's concept was acceptable, but a chinese man in a starring role was not!

There is definetely something wrong with these links. The megavideo links are from the sequel series as was mentioned before me. All other links are for the original 70's series. All of the episodes for season 1 and 2 have the megavideo link (the sequel series) and a few of the episodes randomly have alternative links which are the original series. The title of this show here on LMWT is just "kung Fu" so that leads me to believe this is supposed to be the original. The strange thing is, that the seasons list here on LMWT seem to reflect the sequel series Now I don't know anything about the original at all, do I dont know how many seasons or what not it had, and I dont really feel like researching it to find out whats going on here. I came here to watch "Kung Fu: The legend Continues" (sequel series) so I am pleased to have all the episodes for that show. But something is definitely not right here. With that being said, I will be referring about Kung Fu: The Legend Continues not the original. David Carradine plays a magical role that only he can as Kwai-Chang Caine, the grandson of the Shaolin priest of the same name. In this sequel to Kung Fu, Kwai Chang Caine lives to carry on and restore honor to the family name. Micheal Potter plays Peter Caine, Kwai Chang Caine's estranged son who reunites with his father after each had thought the other had died after the temple they lived, and studied martial arts was destroyed by an evil force. Peter is now grown up, and has become a cop, while Caine (Kwai-Chang) lives a much more spiritual life as a Shaolin priest. The story of Peter and his father's past is slowly explained episode by episode mostly in the form of flashbacks by both Peter and Caine. The flashbacks often relate to something that is happening in the current episode. The show combines a blend of the current (at the time of the show), which is typically represented by Peter, and the old fashioned way of life, symbolized by Caine. While each episode typically has a start and an ending, and is of no relation to other episodes, there is a great deal back story that gives this show more of an "epic" feal to it, rather then just a kung fu show without much meaning. Every episode is also packed full of action packed scenes where 60+ year old Kung Fu masters use highly skilled fighting moves on machine gun toting, typical "bad guys" who have a combined accuracy rate of 0% in the show. Ok, so the fighting scenes are a little cheesy maybe, and you find any Jackie Chan fight scenes in this show, but thats part of the charm of this show. If you believe in good and right and justice and peace, then you will actually come to love these fighting scenes for what they are. Caine is one of the great T.V. hero's that ranks up there with Jack Bauer, Michael Schofield, or Dexter Morgan. There is a plethora of reoccurring bad guys with settles to score with Caine, mostly dealing with Caine, his honor, and the past in some way. As a team Peter and Caine "take out the trash" with these guys, using Kung fu and modern police work. Not to mention some help from friends, most often by "The Ancient", a long time friend of Caine. Don't let The ancient's name, old age, grey hear, or wickedly bad ass goatee fool you. He is one bad Kung Fu master who will whoop your butt. While fighting these evil doers, and foes from the past (or from the shadows) a great deal is learned about Peter and Caine's past relationship, as their new one is being formed. Caine is always shrouded in mystery even to his son, and its that mystery which Peter is always chasing. The show is often serious in tone, but Caine delivers the one liners as good as Schwarzenegger, and never seizes to lighten the atmosphere, and make you laugh. The setting for the show takes place in China Town (in what I believe is Toronto), and becomes an element of the show itself. This show is very under-rated, and should appeal to anybody because it's not really about the fighting, which are not typically intense fighting scenes anyways. It's about good over coming evil. Both David Carradine and Micheal Potter are amazing, but David in particular really tugs at your heart strings, and delivers a POWERFUL performace. I strongly recommend this show to anyone ages 13 and up, and particularly think it would be a good show for a child/father to watch together. 9.2/10
