I just can't do it! That's another one I won't watch. The movie was incredibly bad and I can't take a TV show being worse. Under the Dome was enough bad TV show to put me off. I read the book, however, in 4 days. I couldn't put it down. It's a magnificent read for when YOU have time. I'd rather re-read some King or find a book I haven't read of his instead. Thanks for your comments!
LOLOLOL!!! The Mist! If you thought the movie was bad, and it was, and you want to see a real disaster look up the tv show they made out of it. Awful show. It couldn't even make up its mind if it was happening in the 80's, the 50's, or right now. We got letterman jackets, mom/dad jeans, and Goths from the 80's, homophobia and racism from the 50's, and cell phones from today. My damn head was spinning. Gave me a headache. Maybe it got better, I don't know.If you ever have nothing to do, watch it just for fun to see how bad it is.
You're correct, those are some great movie adaptations. It's not that there are none of them, it's just compared to the amount of work that has been adapted to screen (which is an Fing LOT) you named most of the works that are decent! Maybe Cujo, Christine, and Pet Cemetary could be in that list as well because at least they kept somewhat to the original story. But from what I'm hearing, Dark Tower might as well be called Hollywood Man Journey to Wherethefuckever. I would prefer that actually. If the movie is unrecognizable as an adaptation, then it doesn't deserve to have the name attached to it.
Not to be impertinent, but I am new here, and happened to see your post on Dark Tower. Youre right, Dark Tower is not very good. But many Stephen King books are even better as movies. Look at Shawshank Redemption, Misery, The Shining, Green Mile. Carrie. You will see that alkthough they are very different from what he wrote, they are masterpieces, every bit as good as the original. Of course thats only my opinion, buty if you have a chance check them out.

+K on the Dark Tower comments. I hear ya and Amen to that. FYI...Mr. Mercedes is actually surprisingly good. You might want to check it out. I too am sick of many of King's books getting slaughtered. But some I actually enjoyed. Most likely I'll pass on Dark Tower. Geralds Game was okay as basically kept me interested and pretty much kept to the book, I think. Just letting you know.
+K For ŷa kate
I came here through your comment on "the book of Henry", which resonated with me, now I'm unsure though if I should watch it or not
Anyway, read your profile and left you some +K.
Take care and have a lovely weekend
