I like watching documentaries about all kinds of stuff, but mostly about the Universe and nature, also the fluff stuff like Ancient Aliens and Strange Evidence.
These shows keep me going and thinking, even if i know that (some) Science can change any day and visiting Aliens are far from reality, but i like keeping the options open.
And i don't mean that in the "open to Flat Earth" kinda way, there is a limit, and the sky isn't the limit. (see what i did there).
I am Agnostic, but i certainly lean to .. reality, but eh, nobody truly knows what Life and the Universe is about yet, and we might never know, but that shouldn't stop us from trying.
Nature documentaries are just pure edutainment to watch, i'm always fascinated about the oceans and what lurks in the deep, jellyfish, creepy squid and giant fish and whales and whatnot.
River Monsters was one of my favorite shows to watch as well, Jeremy Wade fished up some crazy stuff.
But colorful insects are just as interesting. I love dragonflies and damselflies, butterflies and moths, praying mantis, millipedes and bumblebees.
Horseshoe crabs are awesome as well, i like crabs in general, well.. not too general..
Plants and trees are cool too, people often overlook them, but they live some strange lives too. Of course the carnivorous plants are interesting, but fungi are also a world apart, the Mushroom Kingdom is like an alien world on its own.
There are so many different worlds on our own world and on so many different levels, it is pretty cool.
Anyway, Talkshows and comedies i also like to watch, too bad Craig Ferguson quit, i liked watching his show the most, but i'm liking Colbert and Meyers too.
Comedy Central has a couple of fun "left wing" shows as well, really enjoying the Opposition at the moment and the Daily Show is still good.
I like my weekly fix of Realtime with Bill Maher, John Oliver and Jim Jefferies.
The Orville, Star Trek Discovery, WestWorld, Stranger Things are the top current shows for me.
I've also gobbled up a large portion of sitcoms, they come and go, Everybody Loves Raymond, Two and a Half Men, Anger Management, Rodney, King of Queens, Legit, Bored to Death and many more.
Favorite classic shows are Seinfeld, Cheers, Becker, Frasier, Curb.
Episodes is also pretty good, i think it's Matt LeBlanc's best show. Veep is also fun.
English humor is great too, Upstart Crow, IT Crowd, Alan Partridge, Toast of London, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Hello Ladies, Peep Show etc.
And of course the classic Black Adder and Fawlty Towers.
Also like many English panel shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats (does Countdown), Mock the Week, and Have I Got News For You.
I'm a sucker for jokes, so i also watch/listen to a bunch of Stand Ups from Ross Noble to Pablo Francisco and a bunch more, Bill Burr has a great podcast and Gilbert Gottfried has a good one too.
Sad to see some fun shows get cancelled over the years, Firefly, House of Fools, Spy, The Delivery Man, Top Coppers, M.J Fox Show, We Are Men, Matthew Perry (Chandler from Friends) has been unlucky a few times, speaking of Thomas Lennon (the short shorts wearing guy in Reno 911 and Felix in the Odd Couple) i even liked Sean Hayes saves the world. Sometimes i just like bad shows, The Millers, Kirstie (yes, Rebecca from Cheers), Michael Richards Show and $#% My Dad Says, among other shows.
As a kid i used to watch the Ren & Stimpy show, the Smurfs, Dino Riders, Bucky O'Hare, Reboot, Batman/Spiderman/X-Men/Hulk etc, Inspector Gadget, Eek the Cat, Scooby Doo, Felix the Cat, Captain N, Looney Tunes and Disney shorts + a lot more that i just can't remember.
Monk, Columbo and Sherlock Holmes (old ones) are the crime/detective shows i watch whenever any other show is on hiatus or ended, like it did with Castle, Orphan Black, Backstrom, Almost Human, and probably another couple that i forgot right now.
Moving on to movies..
Favorite movies: Moon, Alien, The Fly, RoboCop, Airplane(s), Gattaca, The Terminators, a Beautiful Mind, Noises Off!, Ace Ventura, Oscar, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, Jurassic Park, Total Recall, the Running Man, the Matrix, Life of Brian, Hudson Hawk, Peter Sellers Pink Panthers, Mel Brooks movies, Fear and Loathing, Big Lebowski, Groundhog Day, Dumb and Dumber, Back to the Futures, Private Parts, Pootie Tang, the Cable Guy, Hots Shots, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, the Dark Crystal, Goodfellas, the Departed, 2001:ASO, Leap of Faith and a bunch of other Steve Martin movies, Good Will Hunting, Little Shop of Horrors, Shawshank, Green Mile, Galaxy Quest, A Scanner Darkly, Dark City, Minority Report, Arrival, Independence Day, Mosquito Coast, the Iron Giant, Romancing the Stone.
