Short Film..............** The Audition **.....................Directed by Martin Scorsese.
It stars Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, playing fictionalized versions of themselves, who travel through Asia and compete against each other for a potential role in Scorsese's next film.
The short film was created as a promotional piece for the Studio City Macau Resort and Casino. It is Scorsese's first film to feature both De Niro and DiCaprio. Both actors had individually worked with Scorsese several times in the past (De Niro with eight films, DiCaprio with five), but the three had never collaborated together. Brad Pitt, also playing a fictionalized version of himself, makes a cameo appearance.
Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio meet with Martin Scorsese at the City of Dreams Resort in Manila to audition for his newest film. Despite their long histories of working with Scorsese, the two actors learn they are competing against one another for the same role.
Hoversurf.............A futuristic drone bike................"Hoverbike Scorpion 3"
The Russian startup Hoversurf has unveiled its Hoverbike Scorpion 3, a futuristic motorcycle drone capable of flying at 50 km/h, carrying up to 120 kg and flying up to 10 meters above the ground. This quadricopter, an amazing mashup between a drone and a motorcycle, is for the moment only a prototype, but Hoversurf hopes to be able to propose a model for the general public in the near future.........................Have a great weekend.......Be well.
It all started with a *1955 Lincoln Futura*
The Lincoln rolled into Barris Kustoms and 15 days later it came out as
The most iconic Batmobile the Dark Knight ever drove.
In 1966, while working on the Batman television series, Los Angeles car customizer George Barris revealed he bought the Futura from Ford for $1.
To gauge how much of a deal that was, the experimental concept car cost $250,000 to design and build in Italy over a decade earlier.
The car was built to give consumers "an exciting peek into America's automotive future."
Some of the futuristic features it offered? Power-steering and power brakes. It took 15 days and $15,000 to create the classic Batmobile that Adam West drove around on the '60s series.

1927 Duesenberg Model X Boat Tailed Roadster........."The Rarest Of Duesenbergs"
Only 13 Model X Duesenbergs were produced, and only four are known to still exist. The 1927 Model X Boat Roadster would play an influential role in Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg history.
The Duesenberg brothers proved more adept at racing cars than at running businesses, but their Model A line did feature innovative designs like an overhead camshaft eight-cylinder engine and hydraulic brakes.

1959 Troy Roadster
Back in the 1950s if you wanted a sleek roadster that was as fast as it looked you bought a Corvette or a European sports car, or you made one yourself. This hand-built roadster is an example of the latter: a one-off special with an American drivetrain and a unique body likely inspired by the Allard J2 or one of the open-wheel race cars of the day.
Happy December my friend...............Have a great week ahead.
1934 Caudron C.460 Racing Airplane
Almost all of the aircraft in the pre-war races were purpose-built, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind machines that were essentially three-dimensional hot rods. And, as with early hotrods, the formula for speed was simple: hang the biggest engine that’s allowed on the tiniest airframe that you can build. So, for the most part, the airplanes were backyard engineered and depended on brute force as much as finesse to win.
The pilot sits well back in the fuselage to balance the engine, which limits his visibility on takeoff and landing. The wings, fuselage and tail are all-wood construction.

When the automobile made its appearance, the pedal car soon followed. Pedal car history goes back to the 1890's when most were modeled from the real cars on the road at the time. Since their conception, pedal cars were all kids wished for. But at the turn of the century, their cost meant they were playthings for only wealthy families. With many families reeling from the financial devastation of The Great Depression, pedal cars were often toys for upper class children. Those not so fortunate played with basic homemade ride-on toys. In the 1920's and 1930's the wealthy were catered to when it came to buying pedal cars since they were the primary buyers. No pedal cars were produced in the mid-1940's when all metal production was directed to the World War II effort.
