They were among hundreds that Escobar had killed in the 1980's. The film follows Sebastian as he tries to break the cycle of revenge and assassination by seeking reconciliation with the sons of his father's victims.

yful Edmond III was a drug kingpin in Washington DC during the 80s. He shipped crack cocaine in from Los Angeles, making millions by the time he was 22. During this time, the city's murder rate double and cocaine-related hospital emergencies rose an estimated 400 percent. Edmond was sentenced to two life terms in 1989 but struck a deal with law enforcement by becoming a government informant.
