I read the book when i was in 9th grade. it was very sad. then i found out there was a movie made like 4 years later. i watched it and as much as im not a big fan of kristen stewart and her never changing expressions i think she played her character beautifully. I really like the movie! its a must see 10/10

I didn't need this website to see this film, Lifetime channel showed it a couple of times. I was astonished at myself, a friend loaned me the book to read during a road trip back in '05 and I had really loved it. But up until a mention of Kristen Stewart and her then boyfriend in this film within a Twilight discussion online I had never known there was a movie. Beautifully performed, this was a wonderful role for Kristen; meek, quiet and apathetic which works well with what I have heard to be her real personality and seen to be a typical performing style of hers. I am afraid its been too long, five years, to say how well accuracy was here but this film excellently made the situation intense, and dramatic so that the audience even those who don't know this experience, could feel into Melinda's torn soul. This movie is on my wish list, has been since I first saw it.

Loved it. Kristen did a great job playing that role, you can't always duplicate the feeling in that sort of situation, i'd watch it again for sure.

Intense, but very good. Wish it explained more but I guess I'll just have to read the book to get the whole story. Picture quality sucked though.

I've read this book and now I've watched the movie. It was really great, very powerful. Kristen Stewart did an awesome job. And I haven't read it yet, but I heard that in Laurie Halse Anderson's book Catalyst it tells you what happens to Andy. It's different though, because it's the story of some other girl that goes to the same school as Melinda.
