I really liked this movie! It was very raw and sad. Throughout the movie I felt so sad for precious, but at the end I was so proud of her! It is really sad that for some people this is their life. I recommend this movie highly.

Good movie, really a watch worth. What a hard story that was, very good acting. I give this movie a 7.

I don't know why I decided to finally see this(probably because of my dad's complete opposition to it) but that's not the point. For a film I was expecting nothing from, this really showed me a different perspective on people who live in the projects, and a different perspective on life in general. "Precious" felt real to me and the actors made the emotions really come to life. 4/5

This movie was really sad. It's sad to think that there are people like Precious out there. Recommended for a one time watch. Good drama

i can not take in how terrible her life is. i didn't even have time to cry, or be sad. she just had a train wreck of problems, one thing after another. Hard 2 have sympathy.... especially when this movie relies on the pity of the viewer.

Great movie. This movie reminds me of all of my times that I have been abused in life yet I am rising above. Also just like her I am a great teen mom and very soon I will be a great wife. I almost didn't recognize Mariah in this movie!

i watched this movie, and i remember things that i went through.i was abused for 5 yrs. there was no way that my mom did not know what was going on , but she put us through that because , she did not want to be alone. people need to know that one in every three females have bin abused some-time in there life. i dont know what the number is for males. people need to open there eyes and see the way things are, it needs to change.

this movie could've been better. i would only watch this once. i also agree with the majority that monique was outstanding in her role as the mother.

kind of predictable - and i didnt think it was shocking or too intense. In fact, i didnt think it went far enough. All the actors give amazing performances... but i really think this movie caused such a fuss because it had an incest rape scene (and not a very graphic one).. rather than because it was a great movie.

Thought this was an amazing movie and a story that needed to be told. Yes it had some slow parts but I'm so happy someone took on such a deep dark subject instead of yet another "fluff" movie and Monique was truly incredible in this film.

The movie was amazing. The performances by each of the characters was amazing. Mo'Nique was so good in this film it was scary. This movie was more than just how we thought it was acted, how the story was, how close it was to the book, it's about the actual message it's trying to convey. There are too many children in this world like Precious and not enough people like Miss Rain. It's time we stood up for children. No child should never have to go through what Precious went through.

This is one for the book of reality in your face moment. Totally real and horrible situation brought to light. This should not be going on in real life, but it does. I know I can't get too upset about the movie, because this is a script played out. But, for some people this movie is VERY REAL. Like I said ONE FOR THE BOOK OF REALITY FOLKS... 5/5

This movie clearly depicts the struggle that most teen mothers face, especially living in the surroundings that the character was constantly exposed too. It was a great film, could have been better, but overall, great.
