I am glad he didn't kill the dog. :) It was a great movie, this was the first time I saw it, and I wasn't disappointed.

I can see it happening in the not so distant future... feeling anything? take a pill.. to positive, must be crazy... to much of a realist, must be depressed.. have more energy then most, must be hyper... smarter then most, must have attention deficit disorder.. the list goes on and on..

AWESOME!! A seriously cool look at one possible, albeit extreme, dystopian outcome to our present course on this planet. For this world to erupt from the ashes of near annihilation as a fear based, self imposed fascist state would not be entirely impossible or even unlikely. The coexistence of the humanitarian underground and their recruiting of the high level clerics was also a nice touch! Great Sci Fi morsel... one of my new faves, in spite of Bale's pretentiously insufferable aire of self importance. (Only truly liked him in Reign of Fire. If he could just forget himself, he would be one of the all time greats!) 9/10

I see the similarities with the Matrix and that's probably why this film didn't blow up in the box office, but everything about the story lines are completely different. Similarities: 1. black overcoat 2. way too many bullets flying around for all the misses 3. 30 something main character 4. Villains and good guys. beyond that there was really nothing else. this flick stand alone as the best thing Bale did for Sci-Fi action before Dark Night. Gattaca was a better comparison from the same year as Matrix. (97) If Sci-Fi Action is your cup of tea then its too bad you missed this one on the silver screen. 8/10 B+ Two Thumbs enthusiastically up. Pato

nice, considering its a 10 year old film it hasnt aged to badly given that the whole film is set in the bleakest of times - not a classic but worth atleast one watch if you are struggling for something to kill time with

I heard such good things about this film but I found it to be cheesy and basically "1984." It is funny to see a grown man go nuts over a puppy though. 3/5.

ACTION PACKED COOL GUN/FIGHT SCENES I DIDN'T LIKE THE ENDING TH, IT SEEMED TO EASY FOR THE GUY, BUT I GUESS HE WAS JUST THAT GOOD. KINDA REMINDED ME OF THE MATRIX AND IT EVEN SEEMED LIKE ULTRA VIOLENT WAS INFLUENCED BY THIS MOVIE. OVER ALL IF YOU LIKE A FUTURE BASED ACTION MOVIE YOU WILL LIKE THIS MOVIE. 3.3/5.0
