I love this movie! I'm a bit sad that it had nothing from the 4th and 5th books in, but I still enjoy watching it every time! :) 10/10

At first I thought I was wathing the wrong movie because of "the little elf", but then I remembered that the little elf was a part of the movie xD. I was a little girl the first time I saw this movie, and it is still as good as I remembered. I think it is over 6 years since I saw this movie :)

In reading Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, the books discourage you from reading them, telling you that there are far better things to do with your time that read such an unhappy tale. I was hoping that the movie adaptation of the first three books was able to capture this guilty feeling of voyeurism, and it did, marvelously. Jude Law makes for a fabulous narator, giving the film a good punchy timing. Some adaptations are made to the storyline of the books, but are done well enough that they are forgivable. The first and third books are more of a focus in the film. Although the second books storyline is covered, a lot of the details are skipped. The stand out performances are those of the children and the incredible ensemble cast that backs them up. Jim Carrey's performance is good, but much like many of his previous works. The movie only had the first three books, which is upsetting considered the fact that there are THIRTEEN in the series. The movie was wonderful!I highly recommend that you watch the movie, read the books, or like I did, both.

Who would have thought that such a beautiful and innocent looking girl like emily browning would want such disgusting things to happen to her (in the movie 'sleeping beauty'), smh.

Fantastic and creative film. It was sort of dark for a kids movie, but a great message and story. Very entertaining. Great acting, i'm a fan of Emily Browning, I think she has talent and potentiall. Highly recommended. 4/5.
