I have been trying to find the name of a movie I saw parts of years ago on the tv.
I don't remember which channel or the exact year but it was late 90s or early 2000s.

All I remember is that a woman is running from some people with a little girl (maybe about 7 years old).
I don't think the girl is her daughter but I'm not sure.
I am not sure why the men are chasing them or if they are after both of them or just the kid.

I remember a part where they stop a big house (seems like the middle of nowhere) and an old woman opens the door.
She invites them in and gives them some food/drink.
They seem to be on some sort of roof and while the women talk, the little girl is looking over the side at their surroundings.

Was the little girl African-American? Some of your description sounds similar to a movie called "Love Field" with Michelle Pfeiffer and Dennis Haysbert.

I'm sorry, but I can't add links in the forums yet, but you'll be able to find it on IMDb.
